A quiet campsite in Wenatchee National Forest, just off the banks of Lake Wenatchee. Tall Douglas firs and ponderosa pines frame the twilight sky, glowing softly with dusky purples and golden embers from the setting sun. A wild turkey wandered into the campsite, sits contentedly by the campfire, leaning slightly back on a tree stump, legs stretched. It wears a small flannel vest. In one wing, it holds a glass tumbler - clearly a whisky glass - etched with a Wild Turkey logo. The drink glows amber in the fire’s light. At another campsite across the road, young grouse roast marshmallows over their fire.
